Mathieu acts as an interface and as a enabler beetween both French and German speaking parts of Switzerland. Mathieu left the french part of Switzerland in 1987 to study in St. Gallen. He set up his own Corporate Communications company in Heerbrugg in 1993 and a publishing company in1995, first in Volketswil, Wallisellen and Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, which he ran until 2001. He has worked as the head of media & Public Relations for sunrise Telecommunications since 2001, when the company merged with its competitor DiAx Telecommunications. In 2004 Mathieu obtained two diplomas of Director of communication from the Swiss PR insitute and from the Swiss Marketing and Advertising Insitute (SAWI). He also obtains a Federal Diploma of Higher Vocational Education as Head of Communications and a IAA Diploma in Marketing Communications. Mathieu was the chairman of the Swiss French speaking Society of Public Relations from 2006 to 2008 and a member of the board of the Swiss Public Relations Society from 2005 to 2008. He is a regular member of the jury in the Federal examinations on public relations and a lecturer at SPRI and SAWI Institutes. He is also member of the jury of the Swiss Award Corporate Communications and represents the Swiss PR Society in the SAWI School Board. He is also a member of the Swiss PR Professional Register. Mathieu joined the PR-Agency Rochat & Partners from january 2008 to april 2009. He is now freelance as consultant in integrated communications, Röstigraben Relations, Personal Branding and creator of corporate social networks.

Né en 1967. Quitte Lausanne pour St-Gall à vingt ans pour apprendre l'allemand et le suisse-allemand et étudier l‘économie d‘entreprise et le marketing et effectuer quelques stages. Après deux ans passés dans le département marketing d'une grande entreprise st-galloise, fonde une régie publicitaire et une maison d'édition spécialisée à 25 ans. A l'époque on ne parlait pas encore de startup... Collabore à l‘organisation du premier salon du Multimédia de Genève dans le cadre du Salon international du livre et de la presse de Genève. Edite plusieurs publications informatiques en langue française et allemande. Fonde un cabinet-conseil servant à rapprocher Romands et Alémaniques et collabore avec un réseau de spécialistes sur différents projets. Co-organise l ’exposition « Les 20 ans du PC » avec le spécialiste alémanique Röbi Weiss et édite la version française du poster rétrospectif. Est considéré depuis lors comme l ’un des historiens romands de l ’informatique. Edite Swiss Business Computing Online, le premier Webzine quotidien romand spécialisé dans l’informatique. Co-fonde en 1998 le 1er parti Internet d’Europe (Internet Partei) avec quelques pionniers helvétiques du Net. A administré une société de services active dans le prépresse , la lithographie et le multimédia jusqu'en 2001 et l'éclatement de la bulle internet. Devient porte-parole de l’opérateur sunrise en 2001 et dirige son département de communication à Zurich. Revient en Romandie dès 2004, toujours en tant que porte-parole, pour se consacrer pleinement professionnellement à la Suisse francophone. Obtient le diplôme de Directeur de communication SAWI/SPRI ainsi que le diplôme fédéral de Conseil en Communication. Est membre du comité directeur de la Société Romande de Relations Publiques en de 2005 à 2008 ainsi que le représentant de la Suisse romande auprès du comité directeur de la Société Suisse de Relations Publiques. A présidé la Société Romande de Relations Publiques de 2006 à 2008. Pendule à nouveau entre Lausanne et Zurich depuis le 1er juillet 2006 en tant que directeur des relations publiques de sunrise/TDC Switzerland AG jusqu'à fin 2007. A été nommé représentant romand au sein du jury du prix suisse de la communication institutionnelle, le Corporate Communications award en décembre 2006. Rejoint l'agence de Relations Publiques Rochat & Partnersen tant que partenaire et consultant en communication de janvier 2008 à avril 2009. Mathieu est actuellement consultant freelance en communication intégrée, Röstigraben Relations, Personal Branding et créateur-animateur de réseaux sociaux institutionnels (corporate social networks). Mathieu Janin verfügt primär über eine breites Wissen im Bereich «Relations Röstigraben». Als ehemaliger PR-Leiter des Telekomunternehmens Sunrise war er während sieben Jahren zuständig für die gesamte Mediaarbeit, und dies in guten wie in turbulenten Zeiten. Insbesondere hat er sich in der Koordination der Presse Deutsch- und französisch sprechende Schweiz einen Namen als «Botschafter der Romandie» gemacht. Mathieu ist im Jahr 1967 geboren, ist also ein Jahr älter als das Internet. Nach einer klassischen welschen Kindheit verliess er mit 20 Jahren seine Heimatstadt Lausanne. In St. Gallen lernte er die deutsche Sprache wie auch Schweizerdeutsch. Er studierte Betriebswirtschaft mit Fachrichtung Marketing und absolvierte Praktika in verschiedenen Firmen. Nach zwei Jahren Berufserfahrung in der Marketingabteilung einer St. Galler Firma im Bereich Stahl- und Werkzeugbau (damals sprach man noch nicht von B2B), gründete er mit 25 Jahren eine Agentur für Werbung mit einem dazugehörigen Verlag. In dieser Epoche sprach man noch nicht von «startups». Anschliessend war er zuständig für die Organisation der ersten Ausstellung Multimedia in Genf, im Rahmen der «Internationalen Messe für Buch und Presse». Seit 1993 bearbeitete er mehrere IT-Publikationen in deutscher und französischer Sprache, wie Orbit News, Computer Infos, Swiss Business Computing, BUG2000 und Agrovision. Mathieu war Co-Initiator der Ausstellung «Les 20ans du PC», zusammen mit dem deutschen Informationsspezialisten Röbi Weiss. Mathieu verlegte anschliessend die französische Version des Posters Rückblick. Seit dieser Erfahrung gilt Mathieu als Fachmann der online-Medien der Romandie. Er publizierte somit das «Swiss Business Computing Online», das erste welsche, täglich aktuelle «Webzine». 1998 gründetet er zusammen mit weiteren Pionieren der Online-Szene als schweizerische Premiere die «Internet Partei». Während drei Jahren präsidierte er ein Unternehmen für die Druckvorstufe (Lithographie und Multimedia) bis er 2001 Pressesprecher der Sunrise/TDC Switzerland AG, mit Hauptsitz in Zürich wurde. 2004 kehrt er in die Romandie zurück als Pressesprecher und Leiter der Kommunikation Sunrise für die Romandie (institutionelle-, interne- wie externe Kommunikation, Lobbying, Event-Sponsoring). Dies, um sich wieder auf die französische Sprache an Ort zu konzentrieren. Mathieu wurde Mitglied des Vorstandes der Société Romande de Relations Publiques SRRP, sowie deren Vertreter für die Westschweiz der gesamtschweizerischen Vereinigung SPRG. 2006 bis 2007 präsidierte er die SRRP. Seit 2007 ist Mathieu Jurymitglied des Award Corporate Communications® (Preis für integrierte Kommunikation). Zudem zeichnet er als Präsident der Jury Romande wie auch als «Botschafter» für die Westschweizer Kommunikationsbranche für diesen nationalen Preis zuständig. Nach seinem Weggang bei Sunrise 2007 trat er der Relations-Agentur Rochat & Partner in Lausanne als Partner bei. Hier baute er den Kommunikationsfluss zwischen der Deutsch- und Westschweiz auf. 2008 gründete er zudem das online-Portal «Communication Romande», das schnell dank seiner Betreuung eine positive Resonanz in der Branche fand.
